ATTENTION High School Ski Racers: Are you craving the thrill of running gates? No need to wait for the snow to fall. Here is your chance to get a jump start on the race season. This fall, Don't Just Ski RACE (DJSR) will be conducting a private two-day slalom training camp at Big Snow in East Rutherford on the weekend of October 22 and 23rd. With a focus on slalom gate training our ski camp will prepare you for the upcoming race season.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on technique, perfect your line and slam some gates. The training will focus on alpine racing skills, technique, and fundamentals. Athletes will have access to multiple drills and training courses on terrain ideal for obtaining and perfecting skills. Over the two days, we will set a variety of slalom courses utilizing brushes and stubbies for racers to improve their line and develop confidence; and on day two racers get to enjoy the challenge of a dual slalom course.

The DJSR ski camp aims to allow alpine racers from around the region to have access to fall training in slalom-specific drills and tactics. Train with fellow racers from other NJ High Schools as well as racers from club programs including Stratton, Mount Snow Academy, Killington, Gore, Catamount, Hunter, Blue Mountain, Mount Peter, Mountain Creek, and more.

DJSR offers a strong 1-to-5 Coach-to-Athlete ratio that allows our coaches to address the individual needs of each racer. Athletes train in small groups and are assigned two race coaches. All of our coaches are experienced racers and/or certified USSA and PSIA ski coaches. Our coaches bring knowledge and skills from the NJISRA, NJSRA, NYSSRA, and VARA. Coaches vary at each camp and are subject to change.
NOTE: NJISRA skiers will NOT be coached by their high school race coaches.
